when i went for my mot about 6 weeks ago and the tester said that if my car is a 92 i could de-cat it fine but a 93 id need a cat he also said that if u had a lamba sensor that a 93 car and u need a cat on it

Yeah, You don't legally need a cat unless the car was made after 1993, so I think you should be fine......as long as the engines set up ok.
