Right here is one for you anoraks...

I have the following parts wondering what i can make out of it all

Corsa GSi C16 XE head, ECU, Inlet system

Nova GSi 8v Bottom ends

Nova GSi head, loom, ecu etc...

I dont want to build a 1600 8v engine as am looking tio use the 16v head, carbs are a possibility but a bit restrictive so anything else i could mangle out of that lot?

possible to use the 8v bottom end and 16v head, but you might need to bodge something for the knock sensor if your going to use standard manamagment.
you also need all the pulleys/rollers from 16v (not sure about crank ask CP)

the 16v head would fit onto the block, but you need 16v (or modified 8v) pistons and all of the bits to bring it up to 16v spec. try trading the 8v bottom end for a 16v one.

Might possibly have a 16v bottom end lying round, will have to have a look through the stuff.

Wanted to try and use the 8v as the parts are much more accesible to me.

just to add to what dicko said you would also need to fit the bracket to hold the crank position sensor to the 8v block as well as this bottom pully with the teeth for the sensor to read
