BIT CONFUSED M8!! HOWS THE BOX OPEN?
ANSWER THAT AND ILL ANSWER HOW TO SORT IT.
BUT 4NOW FIXIN THE BOX IN (SO IT DONT GET STOLLEN)
IF U HAV BACK SEATS U CAN BOLT IT INTO THE BACK USING L BRACKETS.
U CAN USE A DOCK OFF LOAD OF VELCRO (IM ACTUALLY SERIOUS)
U CAN BOLT IT ONTO UR SPARE WHEEL IN ITS WELL.
THESE ARE ALL WAYS TO SECURE UR NEW SUB. (TO PASS MOT STANDARDS)
BUT THEY AINT GUNA STOP IT GETIN STOLEN!
THE ONLY WAY 2 STOP IT GETTING STOLEN IT TO NOT HAV IT IN THE 1ST PLACE
AN ALARM IS ALWAYS GOOD TO DETER THEIVES AND SCUM.
JUST HAD A GR8 THOUGHT. U KNOW HOW SOME PEOPLE HAVE SUBS IN THE SPARE WHEEL WELL BIT. DO THAT, THEN WITH A LAYERED FALSE FLOOR MAKE A CARPETED COVER FOR THE SUB SO WHEN U GO OUT U CAN COVER THE SUB AND IF ITS DONE WEL NO1 WILL KNOW U HAV 1 FOR THE TAKING.
OR 2 BE WEL AWKWARD MAKE IT INTO A FULL BLOWN ICE INSTALL AND FIBERGLASS IT ALL IN. THEN IT WOULD BE WEL HARD TO NICK!!!

You can get grilles for them to stop them getting damaged (if thats what you mean by open)

Or you could put a sticker on there saying "do not poke". I hate it when people do that.

Hope that helps

I shall be bolting all my ice into the back of my car so no thieving bastard can half inch it

As for the sub being uncovered, the easyest thing to do would be to turn the box around so that the sub is facing your rear seats

Problem solved for a total of Fuck all

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
but if you do that then you loose all the good sound of the bass. aim the box to the rear of the car, use loads of velcro to hold it down, and stop showing every one that you have a loud system (then no one will try to steal it from you!)
as for the sub's cone. buy a grill for it. or as wierd as it sounds, get some long cupboard handles (ikea style ones (magnet sell them too)) and put them over the diameter of the speaker. wouls look different.

^^^^^^^^ It wont make a difference what way round you put your sub as the bass travels through the car

^^^^^^
but if the music is reflected from a solid (sound deadend) surface then it'll will travel twice the distance in the car and therefore the sound waves will have a wider/deeper intensitity. thus haveing a better quality of a bass line.

you are absolutely spot on with what you say, but i am right on this one.
lol
i dont think baha guy will respond incase he upsets one of us!

When i took my 15'' sub to a shop to get it fitted they have faced it in to the back seat dont no why. I was going to turn it round but the wires are to short to do that.
