Has anyone plugged their house speakers into their computer? I just wanna know if itll work as i got 4 of them!
I got a seperate amp, so what if i ran a lead from the pc, into the amp, and then flick the switch to an auxillery? would this work?
Thanx alot!

does your soundcard have a "line-out" instead of a speaker output? if so, this is the best one to use if you are putting it through a separate amp.

I used to do this ages ago, but in the end I went out and treated myself to a full on dolby digital 5.1 setup, now I have my TV,PS2 and PC all plugged into it using digital connections(Din,Optical and coaxial) :)

I got a small plug in connector on the back of the pc, a set of headphones fit in there, with the small jack plug! dunno if its a line out tho lol i think it is!

Did u have to install any software for the surround sound to work?

it will just feed the sound from your computer through the speaker wire from teh abck of the computer into whatever happens to be on the other end of the wire - in this case your amp. This will then in turn do its job.

stop asking questions and have to go at it laddy!
