2.5 v6

is it wise to stick a 2.5v6 in ma nova or shud i just go for 2.0l 16v?

i actully thought of tthhis aswell then i considered have i seen it done ? well no i aint seen twin engine 4wd drive nes but never a 2.5v6 s maybe its nt possable or is it plus would anyone be brave enough to drive it i would imagine its a road death waitin t happen :P

It is possible to put a 2.5 V6 in a Nova, it has been done before. Not sure how much effort was involved in fitting it. The 2.0 16v transplant is more straighforward.

its much much much more work and has been done a few times before. also its not as fast as a 2l 16v nova!!

yesit is possible but the main things to consider are,

handling - theres a lot of weight over the front end even more than a valver lump
traction - would think wheel spin will be an issue

if you fitted it you'd use a 2.5v6 bottom end with the 3.0 v6 head and cams. fitting wise it isnt a huge job just need to sort out engine and gearbox mounts then its just the wiring

biggest problem is sorting the rear exhaust... cause the standard one goes through the steering rack!!

althugh it would sound cool telling your mates u have a v6 in a nova its not worth it. Bret Rogan done it ad e had to keep changing the drive shafts, coilovers and engine mounts and stuf cos it kept fucking them up. and u'd have to set off from the lights slow when racing someone and ud probably need f1 brakes to slow the fucker down. sogo forthe 2lt 16v or 8v, even lighter.

dicko you are full of shit i had a 2.5 in my nova last year before i put the 3.0l in and it was miles faster than a valver and im talking miles faster i certainly would never go back to a valver

at the back of the engine with no room..... yes....

if u wanna see something silly wait till i have the twin 1.6 nova finished... i'm trying to convice the funder that it would be a good idea to have a 2.5/3.0 v6 in the back and a 1.6 16v in the front....

and yes i know getting the gearing right would be an arse
