i did on my gsi. made it worse. super unleaded is 97 octane. the plug needs 98 or higher. only optimax is 98+ octane. switch it back, use up the super till dry, then swop back to 98 try it with optimax. it may take a few tank fulls before any results as mine still ran shite with 98 plug and optimax in. so im sticking to 95 for now and keep using optimax then in few weeks time will swop plug around to 98. mines the brown one, (think out of 2.0 8v)

Done it on mine almost when I got my GSi (About 2 years ago), have run it on Optimax and nothing else sinnce then, not had any problems with it performance wise, It seems that the petrol tends to last a bit longer than it did before I did it and ran it on normal unleaded.
Starts first time everytime and has yet to miss a beat.

No complaints from me.
