Most Original Nova in the UK?

Just back from the local scrapies. And had a chance to look through a big shed where they put the Good Cars.

Walking along, and then.. oh, hang on.. Thats one hell of a clean nova?

The guy then told me it belonged to his Dad, and he passed away, it then lay in his garage for 15 years, before his son brought it round to this shed!

Its got 4,000 miles on the clock, everything is as it left the factory, and i dont think i've ever seen a more original nova! Its 1985, with the bumper and grill combined...

He wont sell it for ANY amount of cash :cry: I recon i'd offer a few ?K if he would!

Sounds similar to a car that was at the png national day. A guy from karls region had bought a J reg 1.2 spin for 600 quid - It had 6000 miles on it or something daft. Proves there are some minters still out there.

The guy off MIG who had the Red 1600 16v that was written off bought a MK2 with 6k miles on the clock, was at the PCC day.

Thats the one!! it was just mental looking round it, was in showroom condition apart from the wheeltrims

This one's the same, only i didnt see anything wrong with anything on it!

Plus its 1985!! 99% of 1985 nova's are scraped!

Our 2.0l 16v we had was a 1985 shell and apart from a little amount of surface rust it was solid. Considering had a 2.0l in it for the last 8-9 years.

Ive just Paid 750 for a 40,000minter, J reg 1.0 elderly lady owner job, Took months to find it but i got there in the end :lol:

Patience and the will to pay over the odds and you can still get them if you look hard enough

My lass has a 1.2 sx on k plate with less that 30k omly paid ?250 for it! 1 elderly lady owner with not a mod in site!! :D

when i bought mine it had done 60k. but it was mint condition, it's a b reg. i got it off some friends of my girlfriend, their grandad used to go down the shops in it and chamois(sp?) it down before it got put back in the garage. i'm the 2nd owner and all it needed was rear arches tidying. not bad for ?200

Yeah the one form the National day is owned by my mate, His names Oli Danker and he uses this site although his computer is broken at the moment.

He brought it for ?600 with 5,500 miles! Its still had a free vauxhall service at 6000 which he took it too a few weeks ago. They couldn't believe it when they saw it!!!

It will soon be having a 1.6 16v Throttle Bodied lump in it with around 190bhp! Its already stripped out.

Look out for it next year at the shows! Its going to be nice :P

Thanks Martin.. Its coming along fine. I had the billy shocks sandblasted and i sprayed them a nice bright yellow. So now its lowered, but still doesnt sit proper without the engine and interior., Next pay cheque i'm sending the dash to be flocked so i can finish building the interior. And i put on a chrome bumper strip like Mark and Rob's tonight, looks very tidy.

Not sure what peoples opinions are on the chrome bumper strips.. If i mention it to mates they screw there face up :? .. But i recon there opinion will change when they see it..

I bought a g reg 1.0 base model with 7800 miles on it, the interior and shell are perfect, but the old lady owner clouted a few thiings along the way. I saw it in a front garden, and stuck a note thru the letter box. eighteen months later I got a phone call.. It hadn't moved an inch in that time. I paid ?700 three years ago

Vauxhall Nova 1. 4sr. J Reg. White. Only 4500 original miles, one lady owner from new. Never been used up until the past 2 years. Fuel cut off switch and alarmed. Immaculate condition. 1st to see will buy.

This was on the adtrader website the other day, phoned it up, was still there, arranged a viewing but went within a couple of hours, gutted.
