Well yours werent done right was it  . Dan i would be wary about using the Golf rear calipers, your better off with the astra GTE setup. I can supply spacers for this if you needed them? Rick

There are a lot of rear beams out there at the moment with Golf calipers as the handbrake setup is better than the Astra setup.. - Motorsport direct has a Nova rear beam with Astra brakes ?100 and a rear beam with golf brakes ?150!!

The works Group "A" nova's were homolagated with Golf Gti rear brake set up. If You go this route You will have to run 15mm spacers to put the wheel back in the std position in the arch.

this is what i have also read. I'm sure they must be a bit lighter than the Astra/Cav set-up aswell...

I thought it was because when the Nova grp a was homologated, astra's didn't have rear discs????

I MAY BE WRONG! but astra 16v were releases in 89 but weren't Nova Sport's homologated for group a back in 84?? Golf discs fit behind Revolution RFX 6.5x13" wheels allegedly. I found this out when researching a 13"wheeled euro beasty a couple of years ago
