for thre past few weeks, its been playing up, now ive had anough, its come to me actually punching it and even kicking it!

the F'ing thing keeps crashing (and its not because im beating the cr*p out of it!) it took me 4 attempts to get here, and everytime it crashed, and when i press 'ctrl, alt and delete', it crashed the whole computer, therefore, i have to hold my finger on the button for 10 secs or just pull the plug!

no matter what command it is, it crashes!

and i cant delete the tempory files as there is too many off them, anf if i try to delete more than 6 at a time, it once again crashes, and i cant delete 5 at a time as it will take me weeks!

the C drive is currently just over half full!

whats wrong with it and how do i sort it? (without throwing it out the window!)

cheerz!

i bought it a fews yrs back form Dixons, (dunno why, they know nothing, thats like going to Halfords for car stuff!) anyway, i bought it cuz it said it had pentium 3, adobe photoshop 5.5 and coreldraw 9, as this was all i needed at the time, as i was doing computer graphics!

but i didnt come with photoshop or corel, but i couldnt be assed to do anything about it!

so its kinda my fault...

but its more theres for fu ckin lying to me!

in fours yrs, ive already had to save everything onto disc 3 times and reboot the whole programme, but that way, i lose everything i cant save on disc - my internet set up, software programmes, game data, etc!

the only thing i can really save is Word files! its daft, i dunno why its fucking up! all i use this thing for is play 1 computer game (CM4) and use the internet!

you should be able to save most of your data on to discs and then just insatll or your software again after the format , youve done good if youve only done it 3 time in 4 years i seem to be doin it 6 or 7 times a week (prob cos i help my mate in his shop lol)
on my lastest computer ive formated about 3 times since i built it in feb but it gets used for everything :D

youv not told us what operating system it is? do you have a virus scanner? do you have the latest windows updates?

to me it sounds like your gonna need to reinstall everything unless its a hardware problem.
id suggest taking the case off and getting rid of the dust inside. next make sure all the fans are working and its not overheating as this will cuase errors+lockups.

do what dicko says, it sounds like the processor's overheating

While were on the suject....

Mine won't start, it will fire for between 1/2 and 5 seconds then die. Mine has now got a dent in the side of it from my attempts to rectify the problem however I was unsucessful.

Any Suggestions?
