:D

I get the keys to my new house tomorrow which means...

I GET A GARAGE! :D

Which means my beloved nova comes off the road to go through MEGA REBUILD 2003/2004! Du Du DERRRRR! :D :( a bit sad coz shes really cool at the moment.

I've had a field day on ebay recently - bought this little lot - couldnt believe how much for!

Black GSi dash shell - ?7!!! perfect for custom dash job!
Set of rear tail lamps - ?5 perfect for rear custom light clusters
Whole tailgate and mk2 spoiler ?14.99!!! smoothed boot here I come!
Nova/Astra rev counter dash ?4.99!!! - more dashes for a custom layout!

AND including postage the whole lot comes in under ?50!

Aswell as that I'm picking up the following -

GTE Engine with 68K on it - full ancillaries, radiator for GTE, drive shafts, side skirts, GSI front bumper, Astra 16v steering wheel, full interior from GTE inc unripped seats and a few other bits n bobs - FOR ?175!!!

:o :D 8)

ALSO - getting any day now a PAIR of mk2 brand new unsprayed front wings for ?30

Added to the other bits (including Punto funky lights) its gonna be one hell of a prioject!

Look out for the "Big Ade Garage V2" - coming soon!

:D

are they gonna be ready for christmas?

some will be hopefully. Still need to make some adjustments to the master and those with GSi kits can be made en mass.

I'm still trying to get the right sized alloys though.

may have to enlarge the arches a fraction. Not too much of an issue though coz they currently look a fraction too small...the wheels will be well cool - theyre about 18's!

I do have som others off standard 1:18 scale cars - they dont quite look right - definately look like a set of 13' steelies

Good Luck Ade.

It seems a shame to take apart the car that you worked so hard on over those 5 weeks.

Look forward to seeing the progression.

Your first Garage Diary made for good reading. I just don't know where you get the time to do it all though :o

Have Fun

as i mentioned before - if you want me to set you up an online diary thing to record the work onto and then copy/paste onto here afterwards i will do - that way there is no way it will all just go missing again :(

Keeping the engine at the mo - its really good - just need a carb manifold (Mikes soirting that out for me as we speak)

Always handy to have a spare - just incase...

Moved into house and cars in the garage - looks well cool!

dunno yet - more concerned about the codywork - total restyle (bumpers, skirts and interior mainly) - the engine can wait - no rush...

Want something with a bit of power but not mental (no 2ltrs yet) - GTE would be ideal - also injection no probe with carb freezing up on me - which has started happening the last day or so (had frost at the new house - feckin cold in the hills!)

:o
