Depends how much effort and trouble you would be happy with.

Let is major hassle and you need to keep on top of stuff...

Personally I'd go for the XE for more reliability.. My Let is a pain in the bum lol

The fastest combination: A valver, but only a 1600cc!

I know it wasn't in your original question, but a high power 1600 16v will be a better all rounder. If you have the money, go for a small block 1800 16v on TB's

small block 1800?!

i had always thaught the 1.8 fitted to the corsa SRi's were big block engines? and thats the only one i can think you are referring to?

i know that xe just means that its 16 valve. or dohc. the let must mean that its turbo as up until the astra/zaf turbo c20let was only turbo vaux had done. the newer turbo lump is the x20let i think.
Lunitic Engineers Turbo?

The new turbo lumps are Z20LET.

The C20LET lumps are fitted in the Calibra 2.0L 4x4 turbo and the Cavalier 2.0L 4x4 Turbo cars.
