I'm getting there slowing but surely with the Build on the Nova. Here's some pics i took today just before i washed it (needed washed cos it was covered in dust from laying in garage)

As you can see, the front is still high, as my front shocks and springs are away being sand blasted! And no engine yet!

Still to do:

New engine mounts, fuel tank, radiator, silicone hoses, chrome loads of bits n bobs, v6 front discs, bailey header tank.

Also need to build the engine.. So still loads to do, and i need to get saving as soon as i can find a new job! (i kinda walked outta my last one.. oops)

I have a new little plastic thing that holds the bonnet stay in place. And i'm getting it chromed. Also getting the door catch pins, wiper motor backing plate etc chromed.

I've been warned off the bonnet struts because they can leave you bonnet sitting funny when shut!

Cant wait to see the car done!!

It was quite expensive. It would have been cheaper if it was just a respray, but that smooth bay took over 100 hours to get perfect. Bay was seam welded, then strengthning plates welded in, then fiberglass for the shape and filler for the smoothness. He also welded up the chassie vent holes front and rear, waxoiled the whole floor, inside chassie, sills etc with a high powered gun. He fitted all my powerflex bushin's, new wishbones, trackrod ends, ball joints and fitted the new rear axel/disc conversion i had made.

Came to ?2k. I think that was a fair price concidering i cant see the car needing any shell work now for a good few years! And the shine from the paintwork is much better than it was before! I just need to get the bootlid fixed after my dad scraped it :o

The bonnet struts will sit perfectly if fitted correctly and not just placed on, takes time but is worth it.
