never put a post on ere yet; so giving it a go with an old classic. it may be a while since anyone last asked/maybe new ones have come along since..
so what is the fastest car youve ever been in? (drove or rode in) if u want but both fastest top speed and fastest accelerating. see how many say their own is the quickest they've been in.

mines my mates Cavvy turbo (330bhp+) for top speed: 165 odd..
and an awesome mint tuned Lotus Sunbeam for acceleration.

mine is a highly tuned 1973 ford falcon xb gt 2-door hardtop coupe, it comes standard with a 351 cubic inch cleveland V8!

the guy who owns it is my cousins husbands mate, he is a touring car driver in australia, i went in it when i went on holiday there to see my family a few years back, i was about 12 yrs old!, i have pics of the falcon but dunno how to load them!

he has spent about $40,000 on the car, its a beast!

these cars are australians herritage, they love these cars, has anyone seen Mad Max? the black intercepter in it, thats it!

fastest i have driven was on way back from MK meet early this year in my mates saab 900 turbo shed that i borrowed for the day - did 139 and bottled it. Not the best car in the world, shakey and rattling like mad.

Fastest car i ahve been in... not sure really.
Daz's PINKY was pretty damn quick, but then again so was my mums ex boyfriends rally prepped mk2 escort - and the XR3i he bought after he sold that one. It's wierd thinking back - he was my age back then lol.

some mad machinery there... a quirky one from wisewood with the saab, but f40s, skylines and a noble in there. not sure what a gmc cyclone 4x4 is thou. i did mean fastest cars not vacuum cleaners. good stuff. suprised to see the e-type jag inamongst a list of mclaren f1's , 800 brake skyline and f40. dont think anyones going to be able to beat freaks' entry. unless youve been out in the 2 seater mclaren f1 car. keep 'em coming though.

Near where I live there is a guy with a Mallard Green ford capri, fitted with an ex-rs500 touring car engine, Sapphire cos 4x4 running gear and a monster 100jet of N20 (nos to you F+FURIOS people!) reputes to put out over 500bhp without the gas. I've been in this when it did 0-60 in 3.9 seconds. He's done it at 3.77 in the car alone, but he said the traction felt better with my 14-odd stone bulk in the front!!!

Anybody who doubts this, the car is owned by a guy called PETER KENNEDY AKA "Rusty" and he runs a garage in Delph (near oldham!) and it is the SAME capri in the Jeremy Clarkson video (with the V B_H Courtenay nova)

Top speed was shite but iv'e been on a fireblade at about 140 that probably felt ike 9,000mph but a cracking story about my top speed in my valver...

I had 140 in my nova (racing a metro(!!!) on the M1 going to TRAX 2001 to display my car on Total Vauxhalls stand) I'd resisted blasting all the way form OLDHAM (3 hours+) sitting at 70mph in the inside lane to keep it clean-ish... and a cheeky twat in a blue h-reg metro GTi came up my arse. I put my foot down but couldn't shake him until his head gasket blew!!!!!!!!! a good 2 minutes at 140mph i thought my car would take off..... When i got to TRAX a guy from the metro prerformance club came up to me on the TV stand and confirmed that the guy's headgasket had blown. He then told me that i had been humiliated by a Lotus Elise 1.8 TB'd metro with 220bhp. I answered " I'm driving home in my car later, your mates on the M1 waiting for the AA. Who's humiliated now?"

i know its no supercar but the ibiza turbo skoob mentioned earlier is a great car: vw/audi technology for a snip of the price, in a smaller, lighter body (than overweight lastest golf) no doubt soon be really good value 2nd hand hot hatch that may be good enough to tempt away from the griffin.

out of them all so far RJM25R's super capri seems the quickest (thats if u have been in the car) liked the story bout the metro btw. :D

still no-one been in a lotus carlton @ speed - just wanna know what they thought vaux ain't gonna build another one of them again are they.
on that note what about those re-badged Holden HSV coupe's that are coming to our shores. round about the same time the future top engine-to-put-into-a-nova car comes out the Corsa C GSI. if u get me drift.

Yeah the capri is mental... it's basically a cossie 4x4 chassis with a capri body!!!!!!

Fastest car I've been in is a 1970s VW Beetle fitted with a Jap Spec Scooby Turbo motor, about 300bhp, and that was without the NOS. Quick car, shame he took it all apart, that thing used to eat porsches for breakfast. Oh well, catch the new improved version next year if your lucky!

Wheel spin up to 4th gear.....BHP printout at 1,100 BHP. ITS MENTAL! Its black and lives in Birmingham (Yardley Wood, Solihull lodge area) with Jap front bumper, and HKS HUGE rear pipe.
