1.4 dizzy

I understand that the 1.4 dizzy and coil set up is far better than the 1.3 set up, if so is it possible to change the drives on the distributor to allow the 1.4 item to be used with the 1.3 cam?

yep.

the cam shaft usually has both types of drive in it so simply case of swapping dizzys.

i have found when i did similar thing, that the central pin in the dizzy was too long. so cover the surrounding area to protect from iron filings going inside engine or in dizzy, and take an angle grinder to it.
