Reminds me off my old sr
When i thought i could beat GTE's
Are all 1.4SR engine blocks blue? If not, when was it sprayed and was any engine modding done?
Well i know my 1.4sr block isn't blue, so i guess it has to be aftermarket.

Crank vent filter. The hose normaly plugs in bottom of standard air filter...
it looks like an oil breather filter. usually you see them attached to oil catch tanks like the ones Mike was flogging at trax. They retail for about ?15 from most halfords etc...
Look good if mounted on a bit of chrome.
Mr Pie - what kind of performance you reckon you can get from the engine running a carb. What carb is it and how easy was it to mod?
I'm getting a 1600 GTE engine soon - just bought a weber 32/34 - am interested in what the potential could be.
Also - my 1.4 engine block is (was) blue - flakey now mind!

how did u match the 1600 head to the 1400 manifold?
i cannot see any sense in doin this has to be the most backwardstep in engine tuning ive ever seen
hope u got the carb rejetted and setup properly or you;ll be seeing some melted pistons soon
