Mk2 HeadLamps

Guys.

Hopefully this is a quick fix.
Just put a Mk2 GSi Front End on a Mk1 GTE.
Wings gone on no problem but head lamps are not so easy.
Popped the 2 screws on top but headlamp just wobbles about.. I'm
guessing the bottom plastic clamp is higher then on the Mk1 Than the Mk2? Just need somone to confirm this then I'll nip to vauxhall's/Scrap yard!! Also where do the springs go off the Mk2 Indicators????

i think you'll need the mk2 headlamp clips. there little white blocks with a hole in where the light just clips in to hold it in place. vaux will have a spare few kicking around

Yes, you will need MK2 white clips as they are taller than the MK1 clips..

I had the same prob on My car. The clips were something like 80p each from Vauxhall's.

What about the indicator springs?? Got the spring but cant seem to find where there clip onto!!

for sum reason everytime i take me head light out i break 1 of them plastic clips there flimsy as hell

dunno if its by design or what but they ALWAYS break when removing them

they brake by default i think, i just drilled a hoole in the plastic bit on bottom of head lamp and used a cable tie.

That clip being broke was one of the reasons for ma car failing its MOT las time

best to get from vaux i think casue when u trying pullen em from nother nova at scrapy or somin they always break n snap..
