Distortion !!!how annoying!!!!

If anyone can tell me the cause of 6x9s distorting and how to sort it out i'd be very gratful it's sounds so s**t :(

r they run off ur head unit
if so it wudnt sound shit if u turned down the bass wud it not

Ive tryed a few things like adjusting the bass,treble and other things but don't seem to change the sound quality much.The 6x9s are running from the head unit

i take it uve checked the connection's and also checked 4 no breaks in the wires

if that dont work i'd be tempted 2 say that 1 or both r fucked come 2 think of it i had a series 1 rockford that used 2 sound dodgy when i turned it up past 19 or 20 on me stereo

Normally it's the headunit distorting rather than the speakers (Depending on the quality of the headunit), Amping them will cure the problem otherwise you'll just have to turn it down a bit I'm afraid (So Ant and CorsaNova were both correct).

Distortion is cos too much bass is running thorugh 6by9's or headunit causing the signal t odistort before it gets to them


Crakling means at least one is blown easy to tell push the cone down and if it makes ascratching noise its foooked im afraid

THE SPEEKERS COULD BY KNACKERED AND EVEN HAV CRACKED CONES
THATS WHAT WAS WRONG WITH MINE.
