I want to re-trim my door cards, can i use my existing ones and cover over them?

Yes.

Peel back the old fabric (be careful not to rip the doorcard in half as it'll be glued on pretty well)

Once the fabric is off, give it a quick sand down to get rid of any glue or bits of fabric left on.

Place it down on the fabric your going to cover it with. Cut around the doorcard leaving 2" extra fabric so you can fold it over.

Get some Spray Glue from Halfords or an Upholstery shop

Spray the door card and the wrong side of the fabric

Allow it to go tacky before placing the fabric on the door card

fold the fabric over at the edges, applying more glue to the fabric and door card

when it comes to the corners, cut several slits into the fabric and fold them and glue them down one at a time so that you maintain the round edge.

Screw the door pocket/handle to the door car

Fix door card to the door.
