my car is going in the body shop next week for my bumpers fitted i took them down on monday so they have a week or so to paint them then hopefully get them straight on.
They couldnt match a colour to my car so i bloody picked it in the end my paint seems to have alot more yellow in i than i expected.

Only thing is i am gonna have to do the mesh my self when it comes out any one gonna offer me some help here with step by step guides lol

I am really excited that my little beasty is gonna be ready soon

what are you meshing? if it is just the grill, then it takes all of about 15 mins, get some mesh, cut out the slats on the grill and then use cable ties to hold the mesh in place. You can pull the ties tight enough to make the mesh follow the lines of the grill, take a look at my old GSi or Slimjims Nova in the featured cars section to see the finished results.

Can't the bodyshop mesh if for you whilst it's there? If you do it yourself and you make a mistake you'll be kicking yourself for scratching your bumpers. If it was me I'd ask them to do it whilst they have the bumpers.

It's not unusual to have yellow in your paintwork. The Vauxhall Black on SR's has pigments of yellow and orange in the paint, just thought I'd share that with you all :)

Well the bloke was being a bit of a dick with me actually but the other guy who was spraying it was ok and i asked him to sort the rust out etc and he said he would, but i am using the money off the guy who crashed into me so thats my budget and they seem pretty determined not to do anything else for that cash

You could always offer them some other kind of payment

Sorry, I'm sure your not THAT sort of girl :P

Don't know what else to suggest. I can't see it costing that much to mesh your bumpers though?

lol what u mean that sort of girl lol.

well i got no cash atm to get mesh anyways so if they say to book it in on thursday or friday next week i could get some (as its pay day on wednesday) and ask them flutter my eye lashes a bit

Best way to get stuff for free if you're a woman = low cut top and jiggle boobs a bit  fluttering eyelashes are so 1997!!

right back on subject i have just phoned the garage and asked very nicely about the mesh i said if i buy it will they stick it on with in the price we agreed he said yes they havent had a chance to paint them yet as they got people off ATM but wait till there painted and if i get some and take it in they will do it

Hurray i cant believe everything is going to plan.

Something has to go wrong

Expect the worst thing imaginable, the bodyshop burns down and takes your car with it - and the insurance wont pay out.

You expect that, anything less will be a bonus :D

That's a phrase I often use:
"Expect the worst, hope for the best"
