rev counter problems

On my 1.5 TD the rev counter doesn't work so if anyone knows what wires are for the rev counter or where the dial gets the rpm from (sensor maybe) then i'd appreciate it if anyone could help me out thanks

green wire. on a petrol car itll be on the coil, but i dont know if a diesil has one LOL i know as much about diesils as i do my own a$$ hole which aint a lot
