never have seen the point in these
To a passerby it looks like there are no speakers there. they've chosen the wrong sort of material really. You can do a better DIY job these days.

thats a bad picture also. it looks darker where the speakers are cos the light is going through, whereas the rest of it has wood behind it so will show a difrent shade of blue.
after a while it may sag tho as it dosent look like its reinforced.
i managed to get a pukka auto acoustics one. they really are mint.

should re-enforce the cut out with mesh or something to stop sag.
tho there's not much point in such 'stealth' shelfs, since they DO look very different to OEM ones, and people now KNOW why they have been replaced.
And even if you have a stealth system, you shouldn't play your music too loud in/too close to the areas where you usually park your car, since you can tell if someone has a quality system just from hearing it when they drive past. If people recignise the car after hearing it 'pumping choons' after you drive past one day, they'll KNOW it has a system somewhere, and that it's likely to have at least one set of decent speakers and headunit, even if they cant see it.
