cross member ?

i am thinking of buying a car with a cracked cross member what is this and who would be sble to fit one can you drive the car with a cracked cross member thanks for ya help

TIS DRIVEABLE - I HAVE DRIVEN ONE WITH THAT BEFORE.
not really very safe or MOT friendly though.

Its the bit that goes from 1 side of the car to the other at the front under the rad. Its important cos it has the tie bars mounted on it and also it holds the front of the car together. Its can be welded and repaired so its not the end of the world

this is very true
things like this normally lead to show other problems unless its just rusted away
