right, and that means in basic english. i know quaiffe do paddle clutches and triple bracket clutches and all dat for cossies etc, and are pereformance clutch company.

might make it blow up??
paul its a staight cut gear kit!
Ratios are different to a f16. much harder wearing also.
the final drive is a big key to how quick ur car is gonna accelerate and at what sort of revs.! But it has its down side to like bringing down your top end speeds ect ect.
so there we have.!
its a fucking film jim! honest
lol
so your making a car that according to your sig as quick as fuck, even quicker.
BTW i gathered it wud make his car go faster.
its a fcuking film jim! honest
lol

when u planning to get it fitted chris? Would be intrested in the difference it makes mate, was looking at doing that myself this winter.
You putting a diff in aswell mate?
(s)hes already got a diff in there.
ill probably end up fitting it lmao
At last the quest maybe at an end. :D
For those who maybe wondering, that lot is call the gear cluster. Take the end off your gearbox and this comes out with it. The shaft at the top of the piccies is the input shaft cos that brings drive in from the engine - the other is the output shaft which takes the drive out to the final drive.
In the 2nd pic the small fat cog at the bottom right of the cluster is the pinion and this meshes onto and drives the crown wheel which is in the housing where the driveshafts go into.
You will notice that its teeth are slanted at an angle. In a std box all the gears are like this. In Chris's you will notice they arent - the teeth are just cut straight across hence "straight cut".
This design makes them noisey = the whine but it makes them much stronger and resistant to abuse. In the quaife clusters the ratio's are much closer together as well which means you can stay at peak revs and power which makes you faster.
Sermon over

my hero charles !! thank you squire! lmao!
i already have a quaife atb diff. problem i have is dropping out the rev band to much in 4th gear. where as i want to be right on the power.
looking at the quaifes gearing this is gonna make a very good difference.
as will the cwp that ive now got hold of!
this is going to be fitted later this month i think. so ill let u know then how its going. (much quicker i bloody hope) (not that it isnt at the moment)
