Nova 1.2 SPI cut out, then not re-starting

My mates 1.2 SPI not starting, checked fuel starvation, checked spark, timing etc...

Any ideas?

Engine turns and sparks but wont fire up. Injector IS pulsing fuel into the carb..., correct gaps on plugs, timing is fine. :?

my sisters corsa spi did this. ended up being seriously flooded. hooked it up to mine, unpluged the injector and cranked it for ages, then pluged injector back in and started after a bit of a struggle, been fine ever sinse
