View Full Version : New car...yay :)
Bought my new car today.
I got a black Skoda Fabia vRS. Popped along to the Skoda dealer in Ampthill and they had one in the showroom all ready to go, taxed the lot. It was going to go on as a demo next week but I bought it :)
I pick it up Saturday...look out for pics very soon ;)

Dont like it.. But nice seats.
Yup a Taxi to get me to work.
A taxi that will have 190 bhp and 310 lbft torque so it will get me there quickly :)
To be honest it looks alot nicer in the 'metal' pics dont do it justice. Skoda have really stepped up their game.

M8, You're at novaload.net bragging about Your brand new Skoda... 8)
Like it in Black - Good choice - Had a go in a full rally spec Skoda - Very underated cars!
A taxi that will have 190 bhp and 310 lbft torque so it will get me there quickly :)
plus the diesel smoke screen will keep you safe from gatsos
Do they need it Ian, I thought the cops would take one look at the pics and throw them away as a skoda could never break the speed limit....

They are good cars now. Practically VW.
But i don't think i could ever bring myself to actually buy one. Esp a brand new one.
I am a label snob tho. (with a nova lol).

i'd buy one. give me an octavia vrs anyday. or even one of them if it wasn't a diesel (why did they not fit the 1.8T?)
They didnt fit the 1.8T because the 130TDi kicks its arse and is cheaper to insure.
Incidentally we had our first Fabia vRS in today for remap and standard it was putting out 142 bhp.

iv driven the ibiza tdi sport, their virtually the same car (skoda a bit lighter maybe??) and it was absolutely fooking rapid!
the torque on the vw diesel engines is amazing, was overtaking uphill in 5 th gear!!
cant imagine what it would be like if it was chipped............
Well I'll tell ya.
We remapped our first Fabia vRS today.
Standard
141 bhp
246 lb ft torque
After custom remap
181 bhp
326 lb ft torque!!!!!!!
Jesus did it shift. Cant wait to get mine run in and then mapped ;)
sounds impressive mate.....personally tho, it doesn't do anything for me.
