Whats the deal, a few people have sed u have to be 17, other 16 9months.

Prince Harry passed on his 17th b'day, and a few others have been in the paper for doing that....

If you have to be 17 to get your provisinal then yeah you have to be 17 to take your thoery coz you have to show them your provisinal liecence and counterpart liecence when you do your theory if you understood that lol

i wasn't allowed out of my street at 16 never mind a mint nova ready to roll.
don't instructors give you relevant papers to apply for theory and driving test and there isn't any other way of getting them quicker is there?

You can get a provisional license at age 16. For mopeds/scooters, and three wheelers (Robin Reliant!! lol).

So you can do the theory test then.

I booked mine before I was 17, I wasn't told anything about having to be 17. The only problem was the next availible test was 6 weeks after my birthday.

the reason some people pass on their 17th birthday is they have been having "off Road" driving lessons. I did some before I was 17, basically the instructor setup some cones in a car park and taught me the basics of driving around and clutch control etc.

Prince William will probably have been driving around one of the many royal estates(that we all pay for!!!) in a landrover or something from a young age.

I think the UK is the queens private estate, she doesn't have to have a number plate or insurance, but all the other members of the royal family have the same restrictions as us I think.
