whats the bloody point of locking nuts?

this is what i was thinking of on my way to work this morning (stuck in traffic). You put locking nuts on your wheels yea? yea.

well it stops mr thief from getting your wheels off yea? - yea.

But surely if there gonna take your wheels, they gonna drive your car to a secluded area, cos mrs hopkins from number 72 is gonna see mr thief leaving your car on bricks? - yea? - yea

Well you leave your locking nut spanner adaptor thingy in your car yea? - yea just incase you break down and need to change your wheels.

So in actual fact they are absolutely useless arnt they.

Um...nope!

I take mine with me in my pocket, as it's only the size of a socket, and is light.
If you leave it in your car, that's just daft :p

i dont leave mine in the car. I only take it on long journeys out of town. if i get a puncture, i will just use tyre weld, or phone green flag for a lift home!!And trust me, i have seen alloy thieves at work. No noise, all four wheels gone in about 5 mins..
Mr's Hopkins isn't going to see them doing it at 3 in the morning....

it slows em down looking for the socket or just slows em down if they have ways round it(ste knows)
try drilling a small hole in the socket and attaching to your keys! B-)

Drill a hole in the key and put a padlock through it!!! then they can't use it

ive got a little speacialy made compartment,in mine which i hide it in,ud never find it.

another thing u can do is, buy a really strong mognet,like then little round ones that u stick on ur dash and put your mobile fone on, stick this underneath/behind the dash and put the key on that.

ah, one prob if my mother or father needs to use my car, what happens if they break down and the little key in my pocket. They dont use it often but its there innit! - can you get other locking spanners thingy's jobbos made, so the spare set of keys can have em?

no its my car you mongoose. But we have a spare set of keys, in case i go out and the car needs to be moved.

an acquiantance of mine is known for car theft and if theres lockers on trust me, all theyll do is beat a socket over the nut with a hammer and undo it like that...

At least youll hear the noise or it would slow em down long enough to alert someone

WHY DON'T YOU JUST GET 4 WHEEL CLAMPS IF YOUR SO WORRIED. THEN PUT 4 OF THE MEANEST LOOKING DOGS EACH CORNER. AND TO MEN CALLED MARK AND PETE WITH BIG BATS!? TELL YOUR INSURENCE THAT WILL REDUCE YOUR PREMIUM ASWELL!
