Valver poppin!!

Just had a C20XE put in my nova about a week ago.
All is running sweet apart from lots of poppin from the exhaust.
Is this normal? When i boot it in 1st gear and let off to change to 2nd there is a loud pop from the exhaust.

Any ideas people?
Current mods are zorst, filter and power cap.

Coil and/or Dizzy and/or Rotar could be knackered. Not getting enough spark.

The XE's and Lets eat these for some reason.

Sounds like its overfueling a bit and the ignitions retarded. Does it do it more when its cold by per chance?

is it suppose to have a lambda sensor and its not fitted?

where in stoke u from and whats ya nova look like?

other thing im considering it might be is your powercap. does your engine have an air flow meter? if so the powercap might be leaking a bit of air and cuasing the popping!!
