My e16se is idiling crap it's sat too high when warm I've tried the following so far.
Swapped throttle body
Coasting air valve
New idle control valve
Checked ignition timing
Checked for splits on breathers
Checked afm pipe no splits.
I've read somewhere if you pinch the coasting air valve pipe it shouldn't alter the idle but it does and goes down is this correct.? Any help would be great.

I'd be looking for an air leak somewhere, maybe around the manifold or a breather

Still ongoing with this issue. Car drives fine just when upto normal temp the idle keeps raising then drops then raises. Checked all above fitted new cts sensor still the same.

Have you considered checking for a possible vacuum leak in the intake manifold or other components as a potential cause for the fluctuating idle, given that the issue persists even after swapping several components?

I had a similar issue with my GSi back in the day, turned out to be the plugs. Like you, the idle was up and down after I’d had “race” plugs fitted during a rolling road session. Swapped back to standard plugs and all was fine again.

took a few weeks of investigation and trial and error though.
