Not been in the Nova game for a while now but always promised myself another when the right one came along....
I bought this one back in August last year without seeing it, and probably paid a little more than it's worth. It was a '92 SRi but with a Mk1 front end, fitted with an XE, painted in a non Vauxhall colour (Rover MG Blue I think), and stripped with a cage and bucket seats.
However I was in the market for a restoration project so kinda looked past its current guise and saw it as an original breeze blue SRi with only 72k on the clocks.
So after lots of email to and fro'ing it was bought, photo below sent from the owner whilst waiting for it to be collected:

And a pic on the trailer before it made its way to Cornwall:

Fast forward 11 months and it rolled out the garage for a wash for the first time in my ownership:

I've got a few jobs done, the buckets are removed and now have the correct blue SRi front and rear seats, door cards & sun visors installed. Mark 2 front end is in the process of a trial fit - I have the wings, headlights & indicators & grille but require a bonnet and front bumper. Smoothed tailgate has gone and has been replaced with a standard item and have a standard spoiler to fit. GSi skirts also now gone.
The short term plan is to strip the front end & remove the engine as there's a decent sized hole in the battery tray that needs some attention along with the drivers side splash guard, and then paint the bay and inner arches in the correct breeze blue. Long term plan then for a full respray back to breeze blue, and get it looking as original as possible. XE is staying at present but haven't ruled out going back to a C14SE...
I'll get some more comprehensive pics of the issues and progress up over the next few weeks, along with a list of parts I'm after!
