Would the electric window kit from a cavalier fit a nova gte? motor and all the other running gear or is it to big for the nova doors?

I have astra e/w motors in my nova. Would have thought they would be the same as cavys. I had to cut off the extra arm that holds the window (asta has 2 arms, nova just had one) and then make my own brackets to fix it to the door. wasn't too hard though.

Alex is it worth doing, or would it make more sense to go out and buy the electric window kit for a nova as it doesnt cost very much anyway?

i thought it wasn't hard at all. just a couple of rivets/bolts and a saw is all you need. hardest bit is deciding on where to mount it, and all you need there is a small sheet of metal to bridge the gap in the frame. give it a go. cant hurt can it.

basically 2 wires go to the motors which reverse the polarity depending on whether the window is going up or down. Look in the back of the haynes manual for how it connects to the switches and how the switches are connected to the power etc. Pm me if you have any problems :D
