Well my bargain ?280 to the door Z20leh arrived today, I’m not sure how I can add photos on here via my phone so I can update with some pictures, so will have to do it via computer.

ive got a f20 sat there so mite test fit it tomorrow and see how much needs to be chopped out to clear the alternator and multi-v setup

and I’ve always been in the game I’ve still got the r32 gtr ;);)

My brother's got a GTR, it tries to kill you out of roundabouts but it's pretty quick, my RS6 beats it top end but the GTR is more of a drivers car as opposed to the cruiser RS6!!

And thanks to some penis who crashed into it October last year it took me nearly a year to fight for the money, thens been sat in the bodyshop ever since

So my cheapest Z20leh turned up today

I need to grab a starter motor hopefully tomorrow so I can do a proper compression test but managed to get a even 80/90 across all 4 just spinning it over by hand which I throught was pretty impressive, my plan is to open it up at somepoint and refresh it and put steel rods in before it hits the rod but for now just want to check I haven?t brought a heavy door stop.

Only welding car seems to have had is front panel at somepoint I think just the upper section, some poor strenghing welding in the bay that I need to attack with the grinder and try and tidy up and once section of a rear arch

Just wondering what the differences between the Z20 LEH, LER, LEL and LET are.

What engine management are you planning on running? Stock or standalone? I've heard the stock management runs canbus, which is a pain to work with unless you really know how to deal with it.

no balance shafts
and under piston oil squirters unlike the lel let

And I’m gonna use Z20let management, you can buy the car side of the loom off of gremlin motorsport and it’s easier to wire up than a c20

I need to use the to higher bolts holes on the front mount as it?s currently sitting on the lower ones to bring the engine down a tad

The updates may be a little slow, as I?m using money from doing private work to pay for it so when your in tier 4 maybe going into 5 that goes down to not a lot
Cheers boris as it was okay for you to see your family at Christmas in tier 4

And regards to z20 it?s the only logically choice when you look at it, you can?t beat a c20 but are getting virtually impossible to get bits for and if you can you have to pay a small fortune, the looms are all naff now so only way to do it pay for standalone etc, least with a Z20 you can go to local factors and pretty much get anything you want for it within reason. And there?s so much out there second hand

I agree about the z20let, I?ve had them in Astra coupes, a GSi and now my family wagon is a Zafira Gsi! I bought a loom adapter made by gremlin motorsport and bought an engine loom, vxr MAF and injectors. All waiting to go in when I find a shell! The only thing I?m trying to get my head around is what gearbox to use. I think a stage 3.5 zlet will turn a F20 to swarf in a couple of good runs!

Collected a f23 and few other bits but made a start on attacking the shit welding in the bay,
I?ve removed the standard box mount to make way for the 23 and standard washer bottle mount
