Car was originally a 1.2 8v mk1, I have a black with a yellow trace wire located down by the pressure switch. Was going to use this for pressure gauge, but it seems this wire goes into the relay with a yellow base in the fuse box. Does anyone have an idea as I'm sure I used this wire on an old conversion many moons ago. Thanks :thumb:

Blue/yellow will be for a oil sender. Blue/green is for the oil pressure switch

That's what I thought but when I traced the black/yellow wire it goes into a relay in the fuse box with a yellow base:confused:

I think the black/yellow is for the auto choke on the 1.3. Not 100%. It’s normally taped up on other models.

It was originally a mk1 1.2, would the auto choke be connected to a relay?

Looking at Haynes wiring diagram it shows it going into a relay, connected to the choke warning light too. This tells me it’s for the auto choke. I fitted a 1.3 with peirburg carb a few years ago and found this wire taped up in my H reg MK2 nova 1.2 carb. Was just plug and play.

Seems mad how vauxhall would put a whole wiring circuit in with a relay and holder across the whole range.
