Thanks.

Change of fuel tank I'd say mate, you want an MPI tank which has the high pressure pump in the tank.

What was the original nova?? Engine size?

The fuel tank is a fuel injection tank with a motorsport fuel pump inside it.

Hmmmm

Then I'd say you need additional swirl pot of some description.

Does it only happen at a certain fuel level? Under 1/4 tank for example. Another option might be to cut the tank open and add baffles or tank foam.

What fuel pump is it?

If it’s an eBay special then I might be suspicious of that.

Has the pump been tested?

is it correctly located so it’s filter (do check the filter) is picking up from the bottom of the tank?

Was thinking of a swirl pot but wasnt sure if i needed anything else with it or would a bulk head mounted swirl pot do the trick?

The fuel pump is a walbro 255 and its new.

What tyres are you running? Back in the olden days, my Gsi tank and external pump used to struggle if I was on slicks

If the pump is inside it then that implies it's an SPI tank with in-built swirl pot - did it have the creamy coloured pot in when you fitted the pump? Did you modify it to be the correct length to sit snugly on the bottom of the swirl pot?

I'd have thought that was sufficient, it has been for me for a while on a standard XE, R1 carbs (but they have float bowls to help), and what I'm relying on for my new Jenveys.

To go external swirl pot you'd need a low pressure lift pump and high pressure feed from the swirl pot to the fuel rail.

On my old C16xe I used to run the old GTE setup with a external fuel pump next to the fuel tank and never had issues.

also ran 888’s 

Do you have the return going to the factory location too? I think that feeds the swirl pot?
