View Full Version : Coolant temperature sensor c20let
Hi on a c20let nova. code coming up for coolant temperature sensor. Replaced it with great difficulty. Had to jack engine up as it's sitting on the engine mount. Test drove it fine for a bit then EML came on plug is damaged due to fouling on mount. Anyone seen this before

Shouldn't be anywhere near? Pics of mount?
Sits on top of mount. And with plug on doesn't fit so I had to jack up engine to get plug on but now popped off when driving https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190409/98e8ac4c4130fe5c0f69922a0927d563.jpg

That engine looks way to low
Id get some proper mounts - it shouldn't be anywhere near the mount!
Oh I bought it that way. It's chrisgsi old silver one. What mount should I use
Going buy this pic I found on net the engine it's to far over to the driver's side not up the way. As the sensor is resting on the mount. The alternator it's well over too as my old c20xe was bashed in slightly on this it's checked out a good inch and it's filling the gap https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190410/0ce2a4eb97c594669acfedb255c89bbf.jpg

Has your gearbox got the spacers in?
I'm not sure mate. I will need to look. This is at the opposite side so would it make a difference

They space the gearbox over by 10-15mm so ye it will make a huge diffrence maybe got to many spacers in or not enough not only with the cts but with the drive shafts as well.
