Differences between Speedo cables?

As title, would there be any difference in internal gearing of the standard cable for say my 1.2 Sting and a GSi/GTE?

why i ask, well since changing over to the 6 dial dash, the speedo is over reading. if this is the issue then is it just the end gear on the cable that would need to be changed or the whole cable?

Its 100% the dash it's self, the cables are all the same afaik. I went through about 4 sets of 6 dial clocks in my first nova trying to find a set that had a decent curcit board and each set i tried read diffrent. Ended up making the best out the 4 pairs
