From reading some different threads on here and having a 93 model nova myself I gather the earth from the gearbox to the body was replaced with an earth direct from the battery to the starter motor?
my current loom has a longer earth lead for it so just wanted to find out where about on the starter it attaches to?
Im having issues with my engine earth at the moment so thought I’d revert to original to see if it fixed it. I’m currently using a well used old braided earth on the gearbox that may be my problem.

Thanks

As far as i know mk2 had an earth from battery to bullhead and starter, but an extra one cant hurt, i have 2 on my corsa

Where abouts on the starter is my question? Is it just through a mounting bolt?

I’d guess it was a mounting bolt yeah. Definitely not a post for it on the starter itself.

I’d totally forgotten they had one like that originally. Never had a problem with just the gearbox strap.

On the corsa b there is a bolt with a small stud on the end, id imagine it was a similar setup on the novas
