Hello chaps how is thee all this fine evening? I am in need of advice! I have recently bought another 12st which leaves me a spare one to dick around with. A few months back i also bought a 14sz which has had its head removed. You can see where this is going...

Now ive found alot of info about a 1.3 head on a 1.4 block but not a 1.2 head on one, people seem to think the 1.2 will go bang but a 1.3 head wont?. Anyway heres the questions that need answering,

1. Do i use a 1.4 headgasket
2. What do i do about timing belt ie 1.4 or 1.2
3. Would it be worth me sticking my 13sb cam in it
4. Which is the important one, will it actually last? I believe the 14sz has a 9:6:1 compression ratio however i could be wrong

Cheers guys!

So long as you dont run a wild lairy cam, 1.4 bottom with 1.2 head will be fine...

1.4 head gasket if you do...
