Can you fit the Kent ast2 cam and adjustable pulley on it’s own without the cam followers and springs? Also with the cam fitted what’s it like to drive along with twin 40s?

I don't think you need the Kent followers and and springs, pretty sure I've got standard ones in mine. It might be an idea to use new followers though as they might be worn. Its generally considered the best cam to use, I have one in my 1.3 with twin 40s and it works really well.

I feel low down its a little slow but once it gets about 2200 it goes well. I would change the followers personally but if you are sticking it in for some quick cheap fun just go for it. You don't have to but it's just good practice at the end of the day.
Fitting the adjustable pulley is also something that I believe you don't have to do. I read that it will run fine with the standard pulley.

Ok cheers. Well I’m getting twin 40s put on my 1.3sr it’s got a four branch n exhaust system. Fitting this cam will it make much difference?

You'd be probably disappointed with the twin 40s if you didn't put the cam in too

The ast2 is the default cam of choice. Good for a 1.2, good for 150bhp in a 1650.
Always useable power etc.
Timing winds up on STD marks anyway, wouldn't bother with the pulley as they wear for fun
