I am just about to have my car re-sprayed.
and before i have it done i am rolling the arches and re-fitting the bodykit.
my car has manual locking, i am considering central or de-locking, can any1 tel me if this is a big job, the cost and any1 whos likely to do it in my area? (nottinghamshire)

if you cant do it get the body shop thats painting it to do it for you

all u have to do mate is take out your old locks, spot weld alittle bit of metal bigger than the hole where the locks were BEHIND the hole and the filler the front take your time with the filler and be sure to make it as smooth as a babys ass. and there u have it. get a solenoid and do the same with your handles mate, well smooth!

if totally delocking (inc drivers door) you'll need another solenoid for the drivers door and a remote key fob to open the doors. If you have an alarm it may have a remote arm/disarm facility and a fob that you can build this function into.

the drivers doos is merely a switch that loicks the passenger one - you can get the other solenoid from tandy or maplin or use an old volvo 340 (there was a guide - check www.nova-land.com)
