1.6 8v Timing Belt

hi, can anyone help me with this;

I have a 1.6 8v rally car, the engine is not original so I can use the reg to get the correct parts.

i am looking to buy a timing belt kit, are they all the same for the 1.6 engines?

Easiest solution would be to find someone with that particular engine in a standard car and use the registration number from that for parts

No, think there are about 3 or 4 diffrent 1.6 8v timing belts about. Main thing is auto tesioner or not, later astra ones are diffrent again im sure as are early astra 1.6

What's the engine code and get a pic of the belt

There’s 2 choices 104 tooth for no tensioner
111 tooth for the auto tensioner.
