E16se temp guage not working

I've fitted a e16se into my 1.2 merit and 6 dials but the temp guage won't work it just sits and don't move a bit. I've checked the wiring and sender. Any ideas

If the sensor and wiring are good it can only be the clocks, check the circuit board, they go all the time

Put the connector that goes to the sender directly to earth. If the gauge doesn't move its either the dash or wiring to the dash
