What method of fitting do people find best? Push over and tap into place ? Some iv fitted to other engines have a sleeve you slide it off and onto crank to stop it lipping over

Engine in or out the car? Out the car its dead easy with the right size socket

Engine is out of the car,socket on the rear one?the front one yes but must be one hell of a socket to do rear seal,I’m more worried about the seal lipping over as it’s going on

I genuinly cant remember how i did the rear on mine to be fair, i did build the lump up so may have slid it over yhe crank and bolted the rear crank cap on it. I normally worl them in slowly when in the car. Use fesh engine oil to lube the centre of the seal to stop it folding or loosing the spring
I use the old seal over the new one and knock it on
