View Full Version : What colour grey for bumpers and lower half nova sr 1.4 mk 1 please help

Hi all i have posted before about what grey to use for lower half of nova instead of vinyl , i went with hurricane grey and got bumpers etc done then ran out so got some more to do the sides of car and it was totally different shade to first batch luckily i tested it before putting on car. Long story short 3 different batches and different suppliers i can not get it to match the first batch so im going to re do bumpers etc again and buy plenty so its all done in same batch.
What greys have you guys used other than hurricane grey .? Please help as this is the last job to do on the nova then i can mot it and use it . Any colour codes pictures etc will be much appreciated, im after a satin mat finish ,

I had paint mixed up years ago and i still have the tin. The sticker says Opel bumper 1 satin grey 1/10 cellulose. Also theres a reference number 130412.

Hi had no luck with that colour :( tried a few paint suppliers
Anyone else recommend a decent colour for bumpers and lower half I would really appreciateit as it's getting painted Saturday .

Hi ye upol mid grey looks good mate however they only do it In aerosol :(

I used Volvo dark grey looked well gonna use it again when nova is painted.

Is that a 2k paint mate or base coat and laquer? Any pics?

Sounds good do you have paint code or anything ? Or do I just ask for Volvo dark grey

Just ask for Volvo dark grey pal. They do it in 2k and rattle cans. I rattled this bumper quickly then did it propper.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180423/24a7c5243a82e34fd1d36c42796a2b77.jpg
