Jesus wise that takes me back to when i was 12 at school doing spanish i think its the hardest language in the world to learn.

naaaaaaaa - spanish isnt that hard - chinese is hard.

lad i was at college with grew up in china so was fluent in it and tried teaching me a bit - its mad!! Same word, pronounced differently means something completly different.

for example the word for cow and 9 (i think its 9) are exactly the same spelling but you say them slighly differently, adding only an extension of one letter to the one for cow i think... and there are hundreds of words like that.

dont get me wrong i am shite at spanish > decided in all my maturity that i would avoid having to learn spanish by saying i would never go anywhere that spoke spanish when i was old enough to go on holidays for myself.

Obviously this was a naieve decision.
My first holiday... Majorca.

Go to south america, you need spanish... portugal, close enough to spanish you could get by if you knew it.
Spain, obviously ... many many many places you could find spanish useful and i stupidly wasted tyhe opportunuity to get a good grasp on the language!

'doh!
