1.4/1.6 8 valve rods & pistons

quick question for those of more knowledge,
are the 1.4 & 1.6 8 valve pistons the same? i know the 1.6 has bigger bore obviously, but i have a knackered 1.4se block, hoping it could be rebored and stick gte pistons in it? would that be do-able? would the 1.6 rods fit on 1.4 crank?
Or failing that, would 1.6 pistons fit on 1.4 rods?

Hi, pistons and crank are different of size, the conrods are the same. C14SE can be bored up to 81mm without any problems. You can put the x18xe1 crank oilpump rods and pistons inside the block to have way more torque.

thanks for getting back to me, is there any way of getting 1.6 rods & pistons to work in 1.4 block? doubt id get my hands on 1.8 bottom end?

No mate, hes saying the c14se 1.4 block can be bored out to take the x18xe1 pistons.
