Throttle cable

Hi all.

I'm in the market for a throttle cable as mine as stretched beyond the point of working properly.

My cable measures 25 inch (stretched remember) and ive just been offered one that is 31 inch..

Am I right in thinkin that is too long? The seller says it should still fit, but I'm sceptical..

Any help much appreciated.

If you measure the cable that's not covered by the outer casing aslong as that is right then it will fit

Yeah, that's what I mean, from tip to tip, mine is 25 and his is 31

Would think the only thing that matters is the length where it connects on either end. The overall length shouldn't matter too much.

What matters is how much inner cable you have showing, in you pull the inner cable all the way out of one end until it stops and then measure the inner that is now showing this is what you need to know.
If yours is stretched it should measure a little longer then what the one the chap has but will not be a great difference like 10mm max and that sounds a lot.
The overall size max no difference as long as it reaches with out being tight.

Yeah, so by the sounds of it, his one is way too big for mine.. We both measured the inner cable, and tip to tip, It's like 6 inches longer.
