Looking for a genuine engine for my GSi rebuild as i have a E16se which i believe is for GTE and not correct for GSi
C16se wanted can be bare block as i have everything else

From what iv read E16se with round top cam belt cover were in GTE and some early GSi had E16se with a square top cam belt cover
C16se was the engine then put in the GSi
I could be wrong
but the engine i have is an E16 with round top cambelt cover which i believe would be incorrect to fit in my GSi

Im sure the belt cover will just unbolt and be replaced with the kind you want if its the cover thats a problem .

There is a full motor on ebay about 450 not sure which kind like

c16se was only in the later Gsi - so it depends what year yours is

99% a e16se then - depends when it was registered I guess

I have a 1988 Corsa A GSI completely original fitted with a e16se round top cam belt cover.

Hi Jordan, my car is a Opel Corsa A GSI first registered in 1988 the engine is a E16SE, I need a head more than a block, whats is the condition of the block? I have a complete running engine in the car right now. I have talking to Bill Falconer to build me another engine, so I am looking for another in the UK to send to him rather than ship mine from Madeira. Interestingly he has suggested using a Z16SE lump apparently a more tuneable engine, flat top pistons and a better combustion chamber. All said and done would still like a second head for the E16SE.
