For the life of me I cannot work out how the motor rod connects to the push down rod. I have fitted these twice before and bought all the same parts but cannot work it out. Anyone with their door card off able to take a picture for me.
Haynes is no help on this matter!!

To update this is the picture of how mine sits. This is the rod connected to the motor and the angle it meets the latch

Daft question maybe but do the central locking latches have an extra hole or somthing that is missing on the non type onse . I can only picture how the non standard central locking ones work with the small u clamps connected to the door pin bar . But by the looks of your pic there is nowere for that rod to connect to.

It's like the bar needs to turn 90 degrees. I'm sure the last ones where like that, then the striker rod went through the hole at the top and then reconnect to the nylon clamp.

The central locking rods are flat at one end and have a hole in it that the button rod fits through.

This one does, it's the top part but a side on view, it has the U bend at the bottom that's attached to the motor. I think there's an issue with these rods as the flat should be facing the other way. I have a blurry picture of the old ones I had on my last nova and they look like they sit at a different angle

Cant you just bend the rod 90 degrees? A vice and a decent set of grips should do!

yeah I have done it to one last night, I twisted the tab with the hole so will finish it tomorrow. It wasn't my ideal solution but had to make do.
