hi folks so picked my nova up over xmas put a battery in and wouldn't turn over , got her home and she started bit rough but started starter was turning over and working as should went out to her today and back to nothing I have ignition lights but no starter so iv tested at starter get 12v on large main feed but no voltage on switch wire tested at ignitioin and I'm getting ignition live on the black/red cable same colour as at starter what else should I check? I ran a lead from battery to switch live terminal on the starter and turns over fine

Maybe the starter is sticking, try hitting it a few thumps

If it was sticking when a put fly lead on it wouldn't start either?
With fly lead from battery it turns over fine

Faulty terminal on starter looks like the problem

That's her up and running took starter out sanded spade terminal and refitted manually operated auto choke and she burst into life heated up and ticked over nicely
